How: Take a short bus ride to the shores of spectacular lake Windermere and get on the hunt for some flat stones. Hold them between your thumb and first finger and spin them across the surface of the lake as smoothly as you can. Who can get the most bounces?

Where: Jorvik Centre (York Station)
How: Head to the Jorvik centre to see Vikings up close and personal in a proper interactive display. It's back open in April so there's not long to wait!
